May 2020 Update

05/29/20

Dear Patient:

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:

  • Patients will be contacted before their appointment to answer a screening questionnaire in relation to COVID-19. You will be asked to retake this screening again at the appointment.

  • We will ask that you use hand sanitizer when you arrive at the office. Hand sanitizers will also be in the reception area and other places throughout the office if needed.

  • Our waiting area will no longer have magazines, refreshments or toys in the children’s area.

  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients, meaning fewer options for appointment times.

  • We will reduce the number of patients in the reception area by allowing greater time between appointments.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at (847) 336-9798 or visit our website at Green Meadows Dental.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.

Sincerely,

Dr. Vu Phan and Team

March 2020 Update

In light of the COVID-19 outbreak, we have decided to temporarily close our office until the beginning of June. Our highest priority is the health of our patients and employees as well as helping ensure the safety of our community. At Green Meadows Dental, we have consistently achieved an environment of sanitary cleanliness and want to assure our patients of this during these trying times. We have and will continue to reschedule appointments for patients during the month of March. If you had an appointment this month, please know we will be reaching out to you to reschedule in June. We understand this may be an inconvenience, however, we want all of our patients to know the great consideration we took in making this decision.

The Center of Disease Control and Prevention is one of our best resources in ending the spread of COVID-19 and we encourage all patients to educate themselves on ways to stay healthy and safe. The CDC offers numerous tips that are easy yet highly effective in preventing the spread of COVID-19 such as:

  • Consistently washing your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds

  • Covering your mouth when coughing or sneezing

  • Cleaning and disinfecting the surfaces of your home

  • Avoid touching your mouth, eyes and nose when hands are unwashed

  • Keeping a safe distance from others and avoid large groups of people

Learn more about what you and your family can do by visiting the CDC. We want all of our patients to feel safe during this difficult time and believe that following these steps will bring the COVID-19 outbreak to an end. Until then, know that we can’t wait to see our patients and help them smile brighter!
